KNOWING THE COMMON TRIGGERS AND RECOGNIZING FLARES EARLY IS A BIG PART OF MANAGING YOUR DISEASE

Flares are defined as episodes of widespread pus-filled blisters that can occur

blisters and dry scaling.

Pay attention to how your body feels. You may feel unwell and generally uneasy,

HELPFUL TIPS

IF YOU FEEL A FLARE COMING ON, STAY CALM

It may be a good idea to call your dermatologist when you see or feel the first signs of a flare.

ANY FLARE IS SERIOUS AND MAY REQUIRE MEDICAL CARE

In some cases, it may lead to hospitalization. Although rare, complications from a flare can be life threatening.

CARRY INFORMATION WITH YOU

A card or bracelet should explain what GPP is and have your dermatologist’s phone number. That way, any healthcare provider can communicate with your dermatologist.
